Cabinet clears two more semiconductor units, one at Dholera, combined over Rs 3,900 crore
The Union Cabinet on 5 May 2026 cleared two additional semiconductor units, one at Dholera and one at Surat, with combined investment above Rs 3,900 crore and more than 2,200 jobs projected.
The clearances sit under the India Semiconductor Mission and are separate from the Rs 91,000 crore Tata Electronics-PSMC fab. They extend Dholera's semiconductor cluster beyond a single anchor tenant.
