What the gazette actually says about the fab's land: 66.166 hectares, plot 255, survey number 151
Notification S.O. 1853(E) of 9 April 2026, published in the Gazette of India on 10 April 2026, notifies 66.166 hectares at plot numbers 255 and 238 part-2, part of survey number 151 in Dholera village, in the industrial zone of town planning scheme 2A, as a special economic zone for M/s Tata Semiconductor Manufacturing Private Limited.
Confirmed by an official document: a government release, a filing, or the company's own published statement.
This is the land description in the legal instrument, down to the plot and survey numbers, and it is more precise than anything in press coverage of the zone. The zone is notified exclusively for electronic hardware and software including IT and IT-enabled services. The file number is F. No. K-43016/6/2026-SEZ and it was signed by Vimal Anand, Joint Secretary.
One caveat has to be attached every time this figure is used. 66.166 hectares is the notified zone footprint. It is not necessarily the total land Tata Semiconductor Manufacturing holds at Dholera, and the notification does not state an allotment date, a tenure, a lease term or any consideration, because an SEZ notification is not an allotment deed.
Tata Semiconductor Manufacturing Private Limited is the company formerly called Semifab Private Limited. It is not Tata Realty, and the two should never be run together.
