The dated, sourced record of the Dholera Special Investment Region in Gujarat. Every entry carries the date it happened, the source it came from, and a plain label telling you how solid it is. Nothing on this site is for sale.

Corrections and disputed figures

This page has two jobs. It records anything we have got wrong and fixed, and it lists every place where two official documents about Dholera state different things.

The second list is the more useful of the two. A disagreement between two government sources is not a mistake to be tidied away, it is information, and most Dholera coverage hides it by quoting whichever figure suits. Nothing on this site is quietly rewritten. If an entry changes, the change is recorded here and on the entry itself.

01Corrections we have made

The fire station contract basis, corrected 11 August 2026

Our own tender dataset recorded the Dholera fire station award to Aditya Infrabuilcon as an EPC contract. DICDL's ninth annual report says it was awarded on an item rate basis. The report is the primary source and it wins, so the dataset was corrected and the entry says so.

The Tata fab's opening process node, corrected 11 August 2026

Our fab entry originally led with 28 nanometres, which is the number most often quoted about the plant. The fab is planned across several mature process generations and is expected to open mostly at 90 nanometres. The entry now leads with 90 nm and records commercial production as guiding to mid-2028.

Two source upgrades, 11 August 2026

Two entries published earlier were sourced to press coverage and we have since read the primary document. Rather than rewrite the published entries and move their dates, which is exactly the quiet editing this site says it will not do, we published the primary-source events as their own dated entries and cross-linked them. The special economic zone entry of 14 April 2026 now sits beside the letter of approval of 17 March 2026 and the gazette notification itself. The expressway inauguration entry of 31 March 2026 now sits beside the road ministry release of 27 February 2026.

02Where two official documents disagree

The cost of the expressway

The road transport ministry said Rs 5,800 crore on 27 February 2026. The Prime Minister's Office said over Rs 5,100 crore on 30 March 2026. Both are official releases with release identifiers, 31 days and about Rs 700 crore apart. We print both. The entry.

Whether the first phase is complete

The central monitoring reports have said Dholera's trunk infrastructure works are complete in every report since 31 August 2025. DICDL's own annual report, signed 10 November 2025, says trunk infrastructure development is nearing completion. Same 22.5 square kilometres, overlapping dates, two government sources. The entry, and the report in which the wording changed.

How many lanes the expressway has

DICDL's 2023-24 report calls it six lane. Its 2024-25 report calls it four lane. The road ministry gives a 30 metre median designed for future expansion to eight lanes. Three government descriptions of one road. The entry.

How big Dholera's desalination plant will be

A 50 million litre a day plant is out to tender and a 200 million litre a day plant is at feasibility study stage, and both were live on the DICDL tender board on 11 August 2026. Nothing we can read says whether they are phases of one scheme or two schemes. The entry.

How many studio apartments the GAP Associates scheme has

Two paragraphs of the same annual report give more than 500 in one place and more than 1,000 in another. We print both and neither is presented as the number. The entry.

03Claims we refused to publish

These are circulating and we could not verify them, so they are not entries. Naming them is more useful than silence, because a reader who has met the claim elsewhere deserves to know why it is missing here.

If you can show us that something here is wrong, write to [email protected] with a source and we will correct the entry and add a line to this page.
