Gazette of India, notification S.O. 1853(E), the Tata SEZ
The legal instrument that created the special economic zone around the chip plant. A gazette notification is the point at which a government decision becomes law, and it names things far more precisely than any press coverage of it.
It notifies 66.166 hectares at plot numbers 255 and 238 part-2, part of survey number 151 in Dholera village, in town planning scheme 2A, for M/s Tata Semiconductor Manufacturing Private Limited, and appoints the zone a deemed inland container depot under the Customs Act. File number F. No. K-43016/6/2026-SEZ, signed by Vimal Anand, Joint Secretary.
