Business Standard reported on 16 June 2025, citing a report by The Economic Times, that 1,500 serviced apartments are being built at Dholera for expatriates, Tata employees and supplier network workers, with about 275 units then available and 250 of them occupied.

The report describes another 225 units nearing completion near the plant and work begun on a further 1,000 expected by early 2026. It also says the Tata Group received a 10 acre land allotment for its own residential development, with 530 apartments planned by mid-2027.
The occupancy number is the one that means something. Two hundred and fifty occupied units is the only figure in the public record that puts actual people living at Dholera because of the fab, rather than jobs projected for later.
This entry is second-hand and labelled accordingly. Business Standard attributes the numbers to The Economic Times, so nobody has confirmed them against a document and neither have we.
